- Here I am, preparing my first race worthy car. I got bitten by the track bug at the beginning of 2008. Since then, I have spent at least one weekend per month at the track, mainly Texas World Speedway. I have always been a VW fan, hence the reason of getting a Golf. The MK3 Golf platform with the 2.0L 8V engine is the preferred weapon of choice for SCCA ITB class. I'm not ready to club race yet, I'm still attending HPDE events with several organizations like The Driver's Edge, PCA, TWS MotoSport Club and NASA. I'm having fun and eventually will make it into wheel-to-wheel racing. Thank you for stopping by and check Kermit's progress, along with mine. Edison
